It is Texas hold em, with a twist. At least that is the way you would see Pineapple Poker described on a drinks menu.

Pineapple poker is usually a tasty model of Holdem in which gamblers every single receive 3 hole cards instead of 2. This obviously increases the odds that a gambler could land a great high quality starting hand. So, you’ll be able to expect to see additional gamblers in every pot. The average winning hands are stronger in Pineapple than they are in Holdem.

In Pineapple Poker, players don’t maintain all 3 of their hole cards during the entire hand. Instead, they discard one of their hole cards at a designated point in the hand.

Immediately after receiving their cards, gamblers engage in a round of wagering. Now comes a choice. Numerous gamblers bet on the game using this point in the hand to determine which hole card to discard. Discarding your additional hole card prior to the flop is how to wager on the much more basic version of the game of Pineapple.

But, since you’re spicing things up by betting something other than Hold em in the 1st place, you’ll be able to choose to wager on the additional popular version of Pineapple Poker referred to as Ridiculous Pineapple. In this model, which is dealt at several of the internet based poker rooms, gamblers keep their additional hole card until immediately after the flop is dealt.

Once the flop is dealt and the following betting round is completed, Crazy Pineapple players discard their added hole card.

For both the basic and the ridiculous versions of Pineapple Poker, the rest of the hand is wagered exactly like Texas hold’em.

This derivative of Texas hold’em offers far more action, using the familiar gameplay. Gamblers can use any range of hole cards, including none, to generate a hand. The betting rules are the same, and if you bet on Holdem, you already know most of the system involved in Pineapple Poker.

But wait, there’s far more! Unlike Holdem, there is a common hi/lo (often referred to as eight or greater) edition of the game as well. In hi/lo games, gamblers have a chance to win half of the pot by presenting the greatest qualifying reduced hand at the table.

What’s a qualifying reduced hand? It’s one with five cards with diverse ranks, all below eight (hence the name 8 or better).
The lowest qualifying low hand wins half of the pot. So, gamblers have nearly double the chances of winning.

Lower hand ties are broken by reading the cards as one five digit range, with the highest digits very first. Lowest number wins. For instance, a hand of the,2,4,5,seven would be read as 75,421. A hand of the,three,four,five,6 will be study as 65,431, and would win in a tie-breaker.

Insane Pineapple 8 or Much better is not just several exotic homegame variety of poker, it’s also dealt at various of the net poker rooms.

In case you want to liven up your home games, consider adding a couple of hands of Crazy Pineapple to the mix. It is a break from the same ol’ identical ol’, except since it’s hold em-based gamblers don’t require to learn a lot of new rules and strategies to like it.
